Residential Design

Private Family Compound in the Berkshire Mountains

Redevelopment and expansion on this mid-1970’s mass-manufactured house, located within a spectacular six-acre setting in New England’s Berkshire mountains, has included five separate building projects commissioned over a period of almost 25 years.

The designs have drawn inspiration from surrounding barns, silos and native architecture with a history of superb local craftsmanship. Each project capitalized on the site’s spectacular hillside setting and views.

Private Family Compound on Lake Erie

This residential building complex, currently under construction, is situated on a spectacular 6.5 acre lakefront setting overlooking the south coast of Lake Erie with a long view to the Downtown Buffalo skyline.

The dramatic approach from the state highway to the lakefront site, and elevated escarpment setting, inspired both the overall site organization as well the shape and massing of individual buildings.

Waterfront Place

Waterfront Place is located in a most desirable Downtown Waterfront residential district. The development concept created a medium density pedestrian friendly residential neighborhood containing a range of housing types. Condominium, rental apartment, townhouse units and mostly hidden parking are oriented around a series of courtyard and walking trails with physical access and views to Lake Erie Basin Marina Waterfront.

The initial phase of Waterfront Place comprising the first of two planned condominium towers together with a cluster of townhouses were completed in 2009.
