Historic Preservation

Charles Gordon was lead designer for the restoration of the Guaranty/Prudential Building by Louis Sullivan in downtown Buffalo, New York. This project received a national award of honor from the American Institute of Architects in 1985. He also directed an award-winning study in energy rehabilitation for the New York State Department of Energy. The study, culminated in the publication entitled "Guidelines for Energy Conscious Rehabilitation of Existing Buildings" . This workbook has served as a technical primer on interactive energy conservation strategies geared not only to design professionals but also to developers, building owners and property managers.
